Back from Lapland... great trip! Really, it was so much fun hanging together with friends, spending the whole day outside in the snow, the whole night in front of the fireplace partying, and not having to think about any of the work at the Uni and at our company.
We did a lot of winter/Lapland activities such as reindeer sledge and husky dog riding, ice fishing, making snowmen, having snow fights, going to the sauna and swimming in the ice hole... But the coolest thing was when we took a walk in the Pyhätunturi National Park's Isokuru, which is the deepest gorge in Finland. There was a lot of snow and we (I, actually, which was physically kinda hard, but fun) were the first ones to walk there for a while, so the track was all covered with snow and sometimes pretty impossible to find. So at times we were in the snow up to our waists. But it was fun! :) Sort of like an adventure in the nature! :)
The nature in the Pyhätunturi National Park was soo beautiful...
Just look at the water, it's crystal clear.
The destination of our hike was this 'frozen waterfall'. It wasn't that magnificent, but the journey there was so cool, that it made up for it.
