Hey y'all! Guess what, today I found an amazing little black dress, but it didn't quite fit... One size was too small and the other one too big. Nooo!
Anyways, then when I came home (I love the fact that shops are now open on Sundays, cause all the other days I'm completely busy...) I saw a Korean music video on YouTube, and it all came back to me... All the pink and light blue, bubbly, cheesy Korean pop songs. In Korea they are everywhere: in stores, bars, TV, radio, on the street... and I seriously doubt it if people really like them that much that they want to hear them on a repeat 24/7 (they don't). But the people are not asked if they want it or not (and this also applies to many other things apart from music). People in Korea listen to what the big companies put in the radio.
This was one of my favorite Korean songs in Korea, cause it's funny and positive and everything. But I'm conserned about what kind of example these girls set for their fans, the little girls. The singers don't particularly do anything else but look cute and swing their skinny butts around.
I like this video a lot better! It's still very commercial and also these girls are swinging their skinny butts around, but this video shows a lot more raw energy instead of the never-ending smiles and cute faces. Girls need strong role models! And this, I think, is a small step to the right direction.
But what Korea needs, is more alternative bands and styles and less power for the big companies that run the music business. Otherwise they will keep exploiting the young talents by keeping them locked in crappy contracts even as long as 13 years, and prevent the music industry from evolving into anyhing better.

And I thought that I could never find a worst group than the Spice Girls... And poor Koreans if they have to listen to this music
Haha :D Spice Girls rules!!
It was my top-favorite band when I was little! ;)
Spice Girls rules???!!
I guess you´re too tired and you didn´t realized about what you´ve wrote, so I will forgive you ;)
Anyway, you´re not anymore little, right? Just to know if they´re still your top-favorite band ...
Haha they will always be in my heart ;)
Yes. actually K-POP sucks and i don't know why people love it!
The singers are,as you said, 'just' cute.
They even don't sing well..
(hm, i'm a korean, actually)
Thank you for your comment :) It's always annoying when all you hear is the mainstream music - whether you love it or not. Variety rulz! :)
